Mari Holopainen: Narrative approach to innovation

Innovation is often understood in one specific way from a particular storyteller’s perspective. In this presentation Mari Holopainen discussed narrative approaches to innovation and in particular how an insurance e-services innovation got presented by the official corporate voice, employees and customers. The study was first presented at EGOS colloquium, Montréal, in July 2013. The data was gathered in the Innopex research project (2010-2012) realized in collaboration with Aalto University, Hanken School of Economics and University of Helsinki.

Mari Holopainen is a doctoral candidate at Work psychology and Leadership, Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, Aalto University School of Science and she is part of the Innovation Research in Services (IRIS) group.
